ORGANIC HEMP PRODUCTS
The Oils

The oils produced by the industrial cannabis plant, Cannabis sativa, are becoming increasingly popular thanks to their many applications in nutrition, the cosmetics and  pharmaceutical industry. Oils derived from the processing of hemp differ from each other depending on the part of the plant from which they originate, the cannabinoids they contain and the way they are created. Among the oils produced by industrial cannabis dominate the Hemp seed oil and the Cannabidiol oil (CBD oil).

Cannabidiol oil (CBD oil) is extracted from the flowers, leaves and stems of hemp plant and has, as its name suggests, high Cannabidiol (CBD) content.

Thanks to Cannabidiol’s properties, CBD oil not only doesn’t have psychotropic effect on human body but also has antipsychotic action which allows it to eliminate the euphoric effect of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) on humans.

CBD oil’s properties have made it particularly important for medical cannabis’ industry since its administration, alone or in combination with other cannabinoids, provides drastic therapeutic or sedative solutions to many diseases while also protecting the patient from unwanted psychoactive effects. CBD oil is a legitimate health supplement that also contains, besides CBD, more beneficial cannabinoids for the organism such as CBDA, CBC, CBGA, CBCA. Due to the concentrated form of CBD oil and in order to improve its dosage and taste, before the administration, it is often diluted with olive oil or hemp seed oil.

Hemp seed oil is extracted by crushing the seeds of Cannabis Sativa plant and therefore contains a minimum amount of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and has no euphoric effect on human body.

Inheriting the important nutritional value of hemp seeds, the hemp seed oil is rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, protein, antioxidants, fiber, iron and basic metals, carotene, phytosterols, phospholipids and vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, D, and E.

The cold extraction of hemp seed oil usually delivers green color oil that is easily burned, therefore it is recommended to eat it raw in salads and cold dishes without further cooking. In addition to extremely nutritious food, hemp seed oil is, also, incorporated as the main element of the formulation when making cosmetics as well as in industrial applications.
